Kissing You!
I met him in a Walgreen’s, I wish I could say I met him somewhere more romantic like a museum or a farmers market, but I didn’t. I would have to say it didn’t make a difference though because for some reason the scenery was almost completely absent.
The day started with me being very sick. I couldn’t even talk. My voice was completely gone. At the time I was not one to take any medicine, but I had got to the point where I was so sick and couldn’t even sleep. While I was lying in bed I felt a huge urge to go to the store and not just any store, specifically Wallgreen’s to get some medicine. Now I know that anyone reading this would say Duh! but I am telling you it was something more. I know this because anytime I have a certain urge like that one to go somewhere so specific, something always happens.
I drove down McKinney Ave in Dallas to the Walgreens and went inside and headed straight to the medicine isle. I noticed a man but not more than I would notice anyone. I grabbed some medicine that I thought would do the trick and then went straight to the magazine isle. While standing there and trying to figure which one to get, I heard a voice say, “it is kind of hard to choose when there are so many to choose from”. I turned to see that the man speaking to me was the man I had noticed earlier. I was in complete shock, he was so crazy handsome and in his scrubs from the hospital. He quickly noticed that I could not talk and started to make some jokes and looked over my medicine to see if I had picked out something that would cure me. After figuring out what medicine I needed he asked for my phone number, which I declined to give, instead I gave him my email.
I was struck by the complete love bug from that one encounter. We started to date and dated off and on for almost three years. I think back on that day so often and try to figure what it was about him that made me fall so hard. I know it couldn’t be just because he was a doctor because I have dated more doctors than any other profession and I honestly wouldn’t even want to be with one. It makes me wonder if he was just sent because he was just what I needed at the time.
Sometimes we are struck by a love bug and there is no way to explain it. We fall so hard that being stupid about the person even feels good. Whenever I look back at that relationship I can still hear this song with him. This is my special song for Smiel! (A name Shawn my twin sister and her best friend Delphine gave him, they are the only ones who ever met him!)
Now I know this song is a little dramatic and kind of cheesy but I was so dramatically in love with this guy and for really no reason at all!! So bare with me!

[...] This year on my birthday was one of the best dates I have ever been on. There were many factors that made it great like, him asking more than once if he could take me to my favorite restaurant. Then the fact that he had to drive close to 2 hours just to take me. But the biggest surprise of all was showing up to my favorite restaurant Classic Cafe, and being led back to our table in this adorable quaint place only to find a bouquet of flowers that he had delivered there before my arrival. I was so surprised and it made me feel so special. That night we had a wonderful dinner, great wine and he for sure had a happy girl! [...]
